MARGARET ANN HOLLABAUGH, 92, born and raised in El Dorado Kansas on July 18, 1926 and moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico in 1973, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Amy Greeley; sister, Nina Kershner, and Grandson, Joey Hollabaugh. Margaret was extremely artistic, with a degree in Fine Arts. She became an avid quilter and was always a caring mother. She was always a talented singer and enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader. She also enjoyed brightening up her neighbors’ day at Sombrillo by sharing her voice and singing. Margaret was an avid reader, especially topics on nature, metaphysics and archaeology. She is survived by her children, Marcia Hollabaugh, John Hollabaugh (Cindy), Jeanne Hollabaugh (Jim), Craig Hollabaugh (Melanie), and Karen Totten (John); brother, John Greeley; grandchildren, Kimberly, Amy, Greg, Michael, Eric, Mason, and Leanna; great-grand daughter, Zara; nephews, Mark, John Alan and David. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at Guaje Pines at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please donate in Margaret’s name to either Los Alamos Retirement Community or the Los Alamos Piece Makers Quilt Guild.
