Frances Montoya

FRANCES C. MONTOYA ,  a resident of Nambe passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2020 at the age of 94 with her loving family by her side.  She is preceded in death by her husband Pablo Montoya, her parents Bernabe andDelfinia Chacon; her brother Arsenio Chacon; grandson Manuel Montoya.  She is survived by her children Irene Montoya, Paul Montoya (Anne), Jerry Montoya (Eileen) and Dennis Montoya (Frances); sister Olimpia Vigil; 5 grandchildren Pablo, Elario and April Montoya and Brandon Maestas; 5 great grandchildren plus numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Nambe. Burial will take place at 12:45 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Pablo Montoya, Elario Montoya, Leroy Montoya, Nolan Baca, Nick Baca, and Narse Martinez, honorary pallbearers named are Brandon Maestas, Anthony Vigil, Garrette Vigil, Dr. Tudor, Rudy Brown, April Montoya, and Kim Montoya  We would like to thank Fresenius all the doctors, nurses and staff for all the help and care she received.  In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.   The family of Frances C. Montoya has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley .
