Anthony DeWayne Hollis, 47, a resident of Santa Cruz, born on August 29, 1969 in Morganfield, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Mae Hollis. Wayne was loved by so many and had many nicknames, El Gato, Lil Wayne, Weenie and many more. His favorite thing to say was WAYNE’S WORLD. He had a powerful love for the Denver Broncos, especially John Elway and had an amazing humor. He will be missed. The one way we can all find peace is knowing that he is no longer suffering and he is looking down on all of us with love. We love you our dear brother, rest in peace. Wayne is survived by his sisters, Kimberly Olson and Debbie Lombardelli; brothers, Gary Hollis, Jack Mannes and Andrew Cordova; nieces, Kylie Olson and Kaitlyn Mannes’ nephews, Dillion Mannes, Eric Olson, Santiago Cordova, Joseph Lombardelli and Michael Lombardelli and his caretakers who placed a lot of time, energy, and an extreme amount of love towards him, Carol Esquibel, Sennie Quintana and Tammy Maes. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 2:00 at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with a reception to follow at Big Dawgs Café in Española. The family of Wayne Anthony Hollis has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
