Eddie Chacon

Eddie J. Chacon, 64, of Los Luceros passed away on Friday, April 15, 2016 at his home. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Delfino and Teodorita Chacon; brothers, Delfino Chacon Jr., Peter Chacon and brothers in law Lee Roy Herrera, Rudy Maes, and Sylviano Baca. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father in law, Jeremias and Celida Romero; brothers in law Tobias Romero, Phillip Romero and Solomon Martinez, along with other nephews and nieces. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 43 years of marriage, Pablita Pamie Chacon; Sons, Abran Chacon and wife Michelle, Jeremy Chacon; Grandchildren, Denay Chacon, Damian Chacon, and his little princess Ayannah Chacon all of Los Lucero’s; Brothers, Johnny Chacon of Los Luceros, Raymond Chacon of Los Luceros, Tony Chacon and wife Mary Lou of Sevilleta, Orlando and Tonia Chacon of El Llano. Sisters, Gregoria Baca and the late Arturo Vigil of Chimayo, Carolina and Leo Garcia of Ojo Caliente, Lorraine Maes of Albuquerque, and Lenora Herrera of Espanola. In laws; Anita Martinez of Cordova, Lydia and husband Cornelio Baca of Chimayo, Cecilia and husband Harold Pacheco of Truchas and Herman Romero of Cordova.  And also his primo hermanos who were like his brothers Louis and Armando Sanchez of Los Luceros, plus numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Eddie loved carpentry and worked as a Master Carpenter for 40+ years. He enjoyed taking time out of his day to help anyone or just to give a little advice. He was very patient, loving, humble and kind. He also enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and reading the bible. Eddie was always there to help friends and family with carpentry projects or whatever else they needed his expertise for. He was a great man who was well respected by many. Eddie will always and forever be in the hearts of those who he touched and shared his knowledge and wisdom with. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are, Johnny Chacon, Tony Chacon, Orlando Chacon, Leroy Chacon, Harold Pacheco and Carlos Espinosa.
