David Lee, Jr

David Mallin Lee Jr, 53, of Placitas, NM died suddenly on January 23, 2021 while visiting his parents in Santa Fe, NM.  David was born the first child to his parents David M Lee and Judith S Lee in Charlottesville, VA. After moving to Los Alamos in 1971, he graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1985 and went on to get his Bachelor of Science degree from University of California at Riverside in 1989 and his Master of Science degree from California State University, Northridge in 1995.  In high school he excelled in sports and sking most notably the varsity soccer team.  At UC Riverside he met and subsequently married Shanda Robertson and they had two children together, Camdyn and Kaden. Soon after graduation from UC Riverside, David began work with AMGEN, Inc in Thousand Oaks,  CA and remained there until 2009 where he rose to Director of Quality Systems. After consulting for a few years, he joined AMRI/Oso BioPharmaceuticals in Albuquerque ending up as the Global Head of Quality Systems. In 2020 he joined a start-up company in Santa Fe where he remained until his death.

He is survived by his two children, Camdyn and Kaden, his parents, and brothers and sister, Timothy and Sally Lee of Apple Valley, MN, Karen and Michael Matuszak of Los Alamos, NM, Jeffery and Darylee Lee of Longmont, CO, and Rebecca and Brent Gustin of Washington, IL as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will join his nephew Trevor Matuszak in heaven.
