Christine Marquez

CHRISTINE PATRICIA MARQUEZ, 57, a resident of Arroyo Seco in the Taos area and Santa Fe, passed away on Wednesday, May 03, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Miguel Peralta; sister-in-law, Rosemarie Marquez; parents, Gabriel and Antonia Marquez; brother, Christopher Marquez; and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Christine was born in Taos, raised in Des Montes by her loving mother, father, brothers, sister and many family members. Her faith in the Lord was the foundation of her life. Christine worked as a caregiver in the Taos community. She was a treasured member of the Holy Trinity Guadalupanas of Arroyo Seco. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren. She had a loving heart and will be greatly missed by many. She is survived by her daughters, Jessica Peralta and the late Miguel of Santa Fe, Antonette Sanchez and wife Kristin Doherty of Las Cruces, son, Matthew Sanchez and wife Felicia Lovato of Taos, brothers, Leo Marquez and wife Becky of Taos, Archie Marquez (Gerri) of Taos, Ernie Marquez (Marie) of Taos, Adonais Marquez (Cristina) of Taos; sister, Daphne Mondragon and Husband Rick of Taos; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. Rosary will be recited on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Parish in Arroyo Seco in the Taos area. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Trinity Parish. Interment will follow at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Marquez family. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Matthew Sanchez, Michael Peralta and Donovan Sanchez.
