Zacarias Sr. - Age 57 - La Puebla Martinez

Zacarias Martinez, Sr., 57, a resident of La Puebla, went home to be with his Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Thursday, January 9 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife and sons, Beverly “Bambi”, Hector “Lokito” and Zacarias, Jr. Martinez; parents, Cordelia and Arlo Martinez; brothers and sister, Arlo, Jr., Gilbert and Edna Martinez. Zacarias was a hard working man, a jack of all trades, he was always willing to give a helping hand no matter whom or what was going on when you walked away from Zac you had a smile on your face. Zacarias is survived by his daughter, Ramoncita and husband Roderick Rodriguez of La Puebla; sons, Jacob and Jasmine Martinez of Chimayo, and Jerome Martinez of Santa Cruz, brother, Michael and wife Eremita Martinez of La Puebla; mother-in-law, Lily Martinez of Chimayo; sister-in-law Fatima Martinez; his companion, Debbie Gallegos of Española; grandchildren, Michael Padilla, Lukas, Collin, and Beverly Rodriguez, Jacob III, Jacqlynn, Aaliyah, and Neveah Martinez, Destiny, and Joshua Martinez, Neveah Serenity and Lilliana Martinez and Zacarias Martinez III; nephews, Bernardito Martinez and Arlo David Martinez III. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Española Christian Church. Burial to follow at the La Puebla Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Savannah Martinez, Michael Martinez, Jr., Antonio Martinez, Gerald Vigil, Johnny Pena, Jesse Moya, Patrick Gallegos, and Tilo Martinez. Honorary pallbearers names are, Keith Romero, Johnny Cruz, Marcos Espinoza, Rochelle Martinez, Gerald Dixon, Bernardo Martinez, Orlando Martinez, and Pablo Vigil. The family of Zacarias Martinez, Sr. has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
