Yvonne Smith

Yvonne Elaine Smith, age 80, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016, after a lengthy battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond P. and Winifred A. (Curran) Toy; brother, Jack Toy; sisters Marie (Toy) Blauser and Joanne (Toy) Stevenson; son, David D. Smith and twin infant sons; daughter, Nora Ann Smith; grandchildren, Bethany and James Smith.  Yvonne worked as a cashier for many years at Metzger’s in Los Alamos. Her true love for children was reflected in her own day care center, Little Treasure Day Care. Yvonne was actively involved in scouts with her children. She was always active in the Catholic Church as well.  Yvonne is survived by her daughters, Peggy Marie (Smith) Blum of Aurora, CO, Larie Diane (Smith) Forden and husband Kris of North Platte, NE; sisters, Patricia (Toy) Myers and husband Thomas of Oil City, PA, and Ramona (Toy) Carrow and husband Robert of Oil City, PA; grandchildren, Christopher D. Smith and wife Melissa, Jese and Jody Smith, Katie Blum, Stephanie (Blum) Collins and husband John, Joshua B. and David J. Smith, and Donald J. Hamilton; daughter-in-law, Kathryn J. Smith of Los Alamos, NM; great-grandchildren, Christopher J. (CJ) and Eliana Smith, and one expected to arrive in December. There will be no services held at this time.   The family of Yvonne E.
