YSRAEL MONTOYA,69,  a resident of Espanola  passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Montoya, mother, Maria Montoya; brothers, Jose, Rudy, and Tommy Montoya; 2 great uncles, Nargico Trujillo Guadalupe Trujillo; grandson, Ysrael Estevan Montoya; step-daughter he thought of as his own, Vicky Montoya; and nephew Rudy Montoya Jr. Ysrael loved to collect antiques and watch the antique road shows. He also loved fishing, being outside and gardening. He loved to barbeque for his friends. Ysrael never said no to no one, he would take his own shirt of his back to help a friend or stranger. He had a big heart and loved chewing Tabaco and smoking his cigars. He loved his pets at home especially his little chihuahua Kika. He is survived by his loving companion and high school sweetheart of 20 years, Ruby Martinez; oldest yet loving and caring son, Ysrael Montoya Jr. and companion Lena, his loving daughter, Isabella Martinez and husband Eric; son, Levi Martinez; grandson he raised as his own Donaven Montoya; step-daughter, Natalie, Javier Mendez; brother, Telesfor Montoya (Jeanette), his loving sister, Crusita (Jimmy Lopez); niece Janelle and the babe of them all Betty Montoya and companion, Lawrence Medina. He will be loved and missed by his grandchildren, Erica Martinez, Andres Montoya, Anjel Montoya, Neveah Montoya and Sernity Martinez; step-grandchildren, David, Anthony, Jimmy, Juanito also great-grandchildren, Ruby, Anna and Savanna, sister-in-law, Valorie Montoya and many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts and many more family and friends.
