YOLANDA MAXINE WHITE, 51, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Marie White and sister, Hazel Leekela. Yolanda was employed by the Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council for over 20 years. Her favorite hobby was playing with her granddaughter, Jade, going to the casino and playing bingo. Ms. White is survived by her daughter, Alaina White and companion Darryl Montoya; sisters, Mildred White and Lorraine White and companion Norman DeHerrera all of Ohkay Owingeh; brother, Tony White of Dulce; granddaughter, Jade Marie; nieces, Markesha and Marshay Cata of Ohkay Owingeh and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Tony White’s residence in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo Cemetery with family members and friends of the family assisting as pallbearers. The family of Yolanda Maxine White has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
