Yolanda Leyba , 44, a resident of Canjilon, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Lujan. Yolanda lived life to the fullest, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her husband and their special granddaughter Nevaeh. Yolanda was a special part of our family, she was always bringing laughter and joy to every gathering. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Yolanda is survived by her husband of 25 years, Mark Leyba Sr.; sons, Matthew Leyba and companion Analicia and Mark Leyba Jr. and wife Rhiannon; daughter, Devonique and companion Daniel; special granddaughter raised by Yolanda and Mark, Nevaeh Vasquez; grandchildren, Noah, Lucas and Azariah; mother, Frances Lopez and companion Eloy; sisters, Gloria Meza and husband Arturo, Norma Burell and Lisa Romero; half-sister, Carm Vigil; father and mother-in-law, Leo and Dorothy Leyba; sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Leyba, Ana Delgado and husband Ronnie, Laverna Chavez and husband Daryll; brothers-in-law, Eugene Leyba Sr. and wife Ardy, Johnny Leyba and wife Lorrie and many other nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Canjilon Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Eugene Leyba Jr., Mark Leyba Jr., Frankie Meza, Andrew Lujan, Eugene Leyba Sr. and Marcos Delgado. Honorary pallbearer is Charles Delgado. The family of Yolanda Leyba has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
