Walter Dominguez

Walter Dominguez, age 64 passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018.  He was born in Gilman, Colorado on Aug. 1, 1953.  He moved from Arizona to Chimayo with his wife Olga Buriel. He worked at Center Market for many years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Cipia R. Dominguez and sibling Consuelo.

He is survived by his father, Nestor Dominguez of Chimayo.  His siblings are: Jimmy Dominguez (Monce), San Manuel, Arizona, Gloria Garcia (Lupe), Arroyo Seco, Louie Dominguez (Myra), Commerce City, Colorado, Larry Dominguez, Chimayo, Bernice Ortiz (Rosendo), San Manuel, Arizona and Esther Morales (Luis), San Antonio, Texas.

Also surviving him are close aunts and uncles: Filiberto Dominguez, Nellie Valdez (Augustine), Priscilla Romero, Arsenio Romero (Bernie), Matilde Romero.

Walter has many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved.

The family is grateful for all the medical care Walter received the last 6 months of his life from the following hospitals and staff:  Presbyterian Hospital in Espanola, Kindred Hospital, UNM Hospital, and Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque and Sombrillo Nursing Facility in Los Alamos. He was given the best care possible and we will forever be appreciative to all who cared for him.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, July 7th at 2:00 p.m. at De Vargas Funeral Home.  Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m. A meal will follow immediately after the memorial service. Location will be announced after the service.  A private burial will take place at a later date.
