Vivian Lopez, 67, a resident of Los Luceros passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Lopez and Olivama Leichtle Lopez; father and mother-in-law, Luis and Francisquita Lopez; brothers, Joe, Benny and Thomas Lopez, sister, Kathy Romero; brothers-in-law, Joe Talache, Joe H. and Bonifacio Lopez and Arturo Cordova, sisters-in-law, Sophie Montoya, Irene and Toni Lopez. Vivian is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lydia Lopez; daughters, Mae Ann and Denise Lopez, Emily Maestas and husband Sam, Iris Ortega and husband Nano; granddaughters, Ashley, Roxanne, Sara and Maria. Grandsons, Fabian, Julian, Samuel, Derek, Frankie and companion Nicole; brother, Vicente Lopez, sisters, Helen Talache, Lena Lucero and husband Dan, and Maxine Rangel; brothers-in-law, Frutoso and Pat Lopoez, sisters-in-law, Katie Lopez, Sylvia Cordova, Rafaelita and Antonia Lopez, and several nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Honorary pallbearers named are all of his grandchildren, all his nieces and nephews, and Walter Herrera, Osmundo Herrera, Leo Sanchez, Pedro Valdez and Higinio Martinez.
