Virginia (Pinky) Vigil, 55, born June 8, 1961 a resident of Canjilon, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. She was preceded in death by her Father, Vidal Vigil; sister, Nancy, brothers, Vidal Robert Vigil and Kenneth Vigil; paternal grandparents, Agapito & Delphinia Vigil, maternal grandparents, Ramon & Beroniz Martinez.  She is survived by her mother, Atocha Vigil; brothers and sisters, Rubina Vigil & family, Lawrence Vigil and family, Norman & Rosalie Vigil & family, Brenda Valdez & family, Wayne Vigil, Stephen Vigil, Jacki and Phil Martinez & family, and  Ted Lobato and family; nieces, Karen Martinez, Chandel Martinez, Laura Lovato, Tosha Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Stephanie Martinez and Courtney Lobato, nephews, Lawrence Vigil Jr., Norman Lee Vigil, Thomas Vigil, Vidal Vigil, Aquilino Valdez, Joshua Valdez, Ross Martinez, Christopher Lobato, and Darren Maestas, great-nieces, Kayla Vialpando, Erica Martinez, Leandra Martinez, Mercedes Lovato, Alyssa Vigil, Victoria Duran, Isabel Vigil, Eliana Maestas, Adriana Maestas, Tatiana Maestas, and Arriana Nunez, Alexa Valdez great nephews, Carlos Martinez, Nathanial Martinez, Brandon Lovato, Isiah Lovato, Tyler, Braylon, Logan, Liam, Issac, and Adrian Vigil, Xavier Valdez, Zach Valdez, Vidal and Vicente Vigil; great-great nephews, Jaydn Gallegos, Noah Gallegos. A rosary will be recited Friday, September 23, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon. An additional rosary will be recited Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church with a memorial mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic cemetery in Canjilon. Serving the family as pallbearers Karen Martinez, Chandel Martinez, Laura Lovato, Tosha Martinez, Stephanie Martinez, Natalie Martinez, Courtney Lobato, Tammy Sisneros and Joseph Roybal, honorary pallbearers are all his nephews, nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great nephews. The family of Virginia (Pinky) Vigil has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
