VIRGINIA LOYOLA LEYBA, 68, a resident of Embudo, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Evaristo Leyba and father, Seferino Suazo. Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family. Her work ethics were impeccable and very dependent. She was hard working and made friends everywhere she went, they loved her. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and going to arts and crafts where she sold scarfs and sweaters she made. Virginia was a very independent woman. She enjoyed the oldies radio stations and reading BC Andrews and Danielle Steel books. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. Mrs. Leyba is survived by her children, Everett Leyba of Farmington, Dion Leyba and wife Rebecca of Embudo and Angelynn Casados and companion Ron Marquez of Embudo; grandchildren, Eric Casados and wife Sophia of Alcalde, Austin Casados of Peñasco, Dionique, Tiffany and Aliyah Leyba all of Embudo; great-granddaughter, Savannah Casados of Alcalde; mother, Priscilla Suazo; sisters, Dora Salazar and Veronica Vigil and husband Dolores Jose; brother, Leonard Suazo and wife Roseanne all of Pilar; special niece, Rosenda Manzanares of El Rito and Margaret Campos of Embudo; sisters-in-law, Eremita Campos of Embudo and Lucy Montoya and husband Danny of Albuquerque and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Church in Pilar. Burial to follow at the Pilar Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Tomas Vigil, Randy Salazar, Alex Suazo, Gilbert Montoya, Austin Casados and Eric Casados.
