Viola "Elizaida" M. - Age 90 - Sant Martin

Viola “Elizaida” M. Martin – Age 90 was born in Velarde, NM on January 18, 1920 to her parents: Max Maes and Virginia Roibal. She attended the Loretto Academy for Girls in Santa Fe, where she later lived and raised her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers: Pablo Maes Sr. and Alberto Maes; sister, Betty M. Jackson; and her husband, Jack G. Martin in 2006; and a great-grandson, Joseph I. Valencia. She is survived by her children: Jason Valencia and companion Candace, Cynthia Stevenson and husband David, Thomas Martin, Vivian Martin, Lawrence Maes and wife Dolores, DeAnne Montoya and Howard Trimborn and wife Dolores; grandchildren: Brian Valencia, Brenda Ledezma, Manuel Chavez, Paz Chavez, Darlene Guerrero, Donna Montoya, Aaron Covarrubias, Anna Maes, Tina Maes, Danielle Coblentz, Valerie Maes, Tim Trimborn Phillip Trimborn, Michelle Trimborn and Thomas Delgado; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; special nieces: Evelyn Aragon, Sue Isham; and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. also at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Burial to follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers will be: Brian Valencia, Marcos Guerrero, James Martinez, Roberto Mercado, Manuel Chavez and Aaron Covarrubias.
