Viola - age 91 -Taos Romero

Viola Romero, 91, a resident of Taos, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Henry Romero; parents, Tranquilino and Juanita Vigil; granddaughter, Patricia Romero, grandson, Angelo Quintana; sisters, Isabel Abeyta, Lucia Vigil, Tessie Gordon, and Duane Velasquez; and a niece raised by her parents Frances Vigil. Viola is survived by her nine children, Joe Romero (Kippy), Pres Romero, Oliver Romero (Maya), Richard Romero (Yolanda), Trankie Romero (Martha), Ruth Gonzales (Henry), Andy Romero, Pete Romero (Willow), and Angela Romero (Tony); 28 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and relatives. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taos. Burial to follow at a later date. The family of Viola Romero has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
