Victor LeRoy Martinez – Age 54 passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Lucas Martinez; 2 brothers: Larry and Dennis Martinez of El Guique; paternal grandparents: Macario and Josefa Martinez; grandfather, Jesus Montez. He is survived by his one daughter, Melanie Martinez; granddaughter, Josilen; mother, Susie Martinez of El Guique; grandmother, Dora Montez of Pueblo, CO; sister, Laura Valdez and Leroy of Ojo Caliente; 2 brothers: Randy and Billie Martinez of El Guique; 3 nephews: Steve Valdez, Dylan and Devina and Leroy Valdez, Jr. of Ojo Caliente and Tony Martinez of Kansas City, MO; 2 nieces: Denise and Kianna and Jesicca Martinez of Española; numerous other loving relatives and friends especially, Manuel Martinez and Betty, Bobby Gurule and Yvonne. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. A heartfelt thank you to Johnny DeVargas and staff for their professional assistance at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory.
