Victoria Elena Mercedes Apodaca, 43, a resident of El Valle de Arroyo Seco, NM entered eternal rest unexpectedly on November 6th, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe, NM. She was born January 18, 1979 to Mel and Lita Apodaca.
Victoria was successful in many things in her life, she was very proud of all of her accomplishments. She graduated with her Bachelor of Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude, and her Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts. She enjoyed fishing, coloring, painting, reading and writing. She loved to cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. Victoria enjoyed helping people. She was an employee of the State of New Mexico, in HR, for the Human Services Department. She was active in her faith, a devout Catholic. A parishioner at Santa Cruz De La Cañada, where she taught Catechism and attended mass regularly. In her daily life she was a very caring and loving person. Who lived a very simple and humble life. She also took pride in being a Nina to her two Godson’s Anthony and Nehemiah. She loved her dogs Lola, Luigi and Lorraine.
She is preceded in death by her maternal Grandparents Arminda and Apolonio Gallegos, paternal Grandparents Mercedes Marta and Cloroveo Apodaca, Aunt Arabella Borrego, Francis Elmore, Virginia King, and Uncle Carlos Apodaca.
She is survived by her loving parents Mel and Lita Apodaca, sisters Veronica Apodaca and Loretta “Lori” Aragon, niece Breanna Molina, nephews Branndon Molina (Dominique), Anthony Aragon, Azariah Molina, great niece Trinity Armendariz, great nephews Rylan Apodaca, Tobias Molina, Jeremiah Molina, Nehemiah Armendariz, Godmother Aunt Connie Orona (Luke), aunt Elsie Gonzales, Mary Gallegos, Jane Trujillo (Tony), Martha Apodaca, uncles Andres Gallegos (Mary Agnes), Raymond Apodaca (Joni) and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 3:30 pm at DeVargas Funeral Home in Española, NM, followed by La Cofradia De La Santisima Trinidad reciting the Holy Rosary at 4 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2 pm at Santa Cruz De La Cañada Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, NM. Concluding services with an Internment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in El Llano, NM.
Family is asking that MASKES be worn during the services.
Serving as Pallbearers are Breanna Molina, Branndon Molina, Anthony Aragon, Charles Mondragon, Theresa Diaz, and Pauline Borrego. Honorary Pallbearer Azariah Molina.
