Victor Oliver Lujan
It is with great sorrow that the Lujan family announces the passing of its beloved patriarch on December 20, 2022. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage facing life’s challenges with a smile. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Maggie with whom he shared a life for 34 years; his son Adam, Grandchildren Abelino and Adelina, nephew Michael Lujan (Melissa), brother-in-law David Martinez, sister-in-law Gerry Gladstone (Gary), nephews Joseph (Angelique) and Alvin (Jennifer), niece Nicole Martinez and great niece Isabella Lujan. He is preceded in death by his parents Gloria (Kniffin) Lujan, Senovio Lujan, his brother and sister-in-law Michael Sr. and Judy Lujan.
After achieving his Master’s degree in Social Work, Victor had an amazing career as an administrator for several organizations; Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Council, ENIPC Food Distribution Program, the Pueblo of Nambe, Nambe Pueblo Housing Entity and various local acequia associations. His accomplishments in helping his community were numerous and continue to be felt to this day. His loss will leave a tremendous void in our lives.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at the Nambe Pueblo Church on Thursday, December 21st, 2022, and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am on Friday, December 22nd, 2022, at the Nambe Pueblo Church. A reception will be held at the Nambe Pueblo Senior Center following the burial.
