Vicky Age - 38 La Puebla Montoya

Vicky Montoya, 38, a resident of La Puebla passed away on Friday, January 14, 2011 from complication and injuries sustained in a fire. She loved her son with all her heart and all her family dearly. She had a very special bond with her sister, and was always there for her family & friends. She loved her cats and enjoyed working & was very much loved and will be dearly missed. Vicky was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Montoya; step-father, David Martinez; paternal grandfather, Manuel Montoya; maternal grandparents, Malquias & Adelina Martinez; aunt, Della Montoya; uncle, Robert Martinez. She is survived by her mother, Ruby Martinez and companion Israel Montoya, Sr. of La Puebla; son, Donavan Montoya of La Puebla; sister, Natalie Montoya and husband Javier Mendez of La Puebla; brothers: Levi Martinez of La Puebla, Israel Montoya Jr. and wife Breana of Chimayo; companion, Sherrie Aragon of Española; very close friends: Betty Montoya and Lawrence Medina of Chimayo; uncles & aunts: Ernest Martinez and wife Pita of La Puebla, Frances Martinez of La Puebla, Angie Maestas and husband Johnny of Chili; paternal grandmother, Viceinta Romero of Española; nephews: David Montoya, Anthony Montoya, Jimmy Benavidez, Juanito Suarez; niece, Serenity Martinez; great-niece & great-nephew: Ruby Anna Montoya, Julian Montoya; special friend, Charles Powers and fiancé Clara Stover of Española; special nephew, Daniel Powers of Española; numerous other loving cousin, relatives & many friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. All nephews will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
