Vicente J. Age - 36 Suazo

Vicente J. Suazo, 36, a resident of Santa Cruz passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 surround by his family who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Abel Suazo; paternal grandparents, Venceslao and Aleja Suazo; maternal grandparents, Trinidad and Eufelia Ortega; uncles: Enrique and Lalo Suazo, Ben Serna; aunt, Rebecca Serna; his cousin; Robert Lopez; his dear friends; Angelo Lopez, Gabriel “Bobo” Valdez, Albert Diaz, Chris Garcia. El Norteño had such a passion for the outdoors. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, water ski, ride dirt bikes, and just cruise the mountains. He took pride in the fact that he never went south. The “little mouse in a big house” loved to be at home and visit with his friends and family because they meant the world to him. You could always count on him to invite you in and treat you like family. His dream truck was a lifted Duramax with 20” rims. He loved his mom “Grandma Geri” more than words could ever say. He attended Sombrillo Elementary, St. Francis and St. Catherine’s in Santa Fe. Later he worked for the City of Espanola and worked along with his best friend, Angelo Lopez at his mechanic and auto body shop. Vinnie Blancs from the Bronx is going to be dearly missed! Vicente is survived by his son, Marcus Martinez; his mother, Geraldine Suazo; sisters: Felicia Suazo, Trina Suazo-Martinez and husband Isaac; nieces: Savannah and Kristiana Martinez; nephews: Lucas and Boaz Martinez; aunts: Emily Suazo and husband Julian, Peggy Ortega, Rose Sandoval, Bonnie Suazo and Cathy Suazo; cousins: Benino Martinez, Mark and Joseph Suazo, Ernie, Daniel, Pat, Loretta, Cecilia, Reuel, Karen, Monica, Janel, Paula, Javier and Venessa; numerous other loving relatives & many special close friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of Devargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Benino Martinez, Joseph Suazo, Javier Serna, Ray Bustos, George Martinez, Pat Gallegos, Ike Ortega and Isaac Martinez. Honorary pallbearers are all his cousins and friends. The family of Vicente J.
