Veronica - Age 30 - Santa Fe - Garcia

VERONICA TORRES GARCIA, 30, a resident of Santa Fe passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Veronica was a Certified Nursing Assistant with PMS Hospice in Santa Fe and truly loved her work. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Simon Balderrama and Luz Maria Gamez de Balderrama; maternal grandfather, Santiago Anchondo; uncle, Jesus Maria Balderrama. May they rest in peace. Mrs. Garcia is survived by her parents, Jose Luiz Balderrama Sr. and Irma Balderrama of Alamosa, Colorado, husband, Gabino Chavez of Santa Fe, daughters, Carina Isabel Balderrama, Jacklyn Veronica Balderrama and Araceli Balderrama, sons, Juan Luis Balderrama, Gabino Chavez Jr., and Giovanni Chavez all of Santa Fe; maternal grandmother, Valentina Garcia Anchondo of Chihuahua, Mexico; brothers, Jesus Manuel Balderrama of Alamosa, Colorado, Jose Luiz Balderrama Jr., and Luis Felipe Balderrama of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law, Kimberly Lovato of Santa Fe, and Ana Segura of Alamosa, Colorado; brother-in-law, Cesar Enrique Baca of Santa Fe; uncles, Simon Balderrama, Santiago Anchondo, and David Anchondo; aunts, Carolina Anchondo and Hilda Anchondo and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Santa Fe. Burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Santa Fe with the following serving as pallbearers, Simon Balderrama Jr., Jesus Manuel Balderrama, Victor Balderrama, Abigael Chavez, Gumaro Chavez, and Gabino Chavez. The family of Veronica Torres Garcia has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
