Venceslao F. (Ben) Trujillo, 62, a resident of Abiquiu, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Trujillo, Sr.; brother, Martin Trujillo; grandparents, Venceslao Trujillo and Ruben Vigil; and nephews, Jose and William Lopez. Mr. Trujillo is survived by his mother, Lucy G. Trujillo; brothers, Willie Trujillo (Elaine) all of Abiquiu, Fidel Trujillo (Brenda) of Española, Reyes Trujillo and Arnold Suazo both of Abiquiu, Gilbert Trujillo of Española, Manuel Trujillo of Arizona, Manuel Salazar of California, sisters, Annabel Keon (Dion) of Moriarty, Lucinda Martinez (Donald) of Rio Rancho, Ruby Trujillo of Tome, Myra Lopez (Joseph) of Abiquiu, Maria Priscilla Turner (J.T.) of El Rito, and Vangie Lopez of Abiquiu; special tia, Rafelita Martinez of Abiquiu; very special nephew, Samuel Lopez of Abiquiu, and two very special grand-nephews, Caleb and Matias Lopez of Velarde, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu. Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 2:15 p.m. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Samuel Lopez, Jason Lopez, Donald Martinez, Jr., Ryan Martinez, Guillermo Trujillo, and Jacob Trujillo. The family of Venceslao (Ben) Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
