Venessa Velarde

Venessa Velarde was born on October 12, 1984, in Española, New Mexico, to Gregory Velarde and Jeanette Prada, and gained her wings on Wednesday February 5, 2025.

She loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. She had a heart of gold and love to help others when needed. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Epimeno and Beverly Velarde, and Rosanna Salazar Fernandez.

Venessa is survived by her children, Kassandra Velarde (Ernesto Gonzales), Savannah Olivas, Liliannah Vigil; her stepchild, Jerad Olivas; her parents, Gregory Velarde, Jeanette Prada (Angelo Prada); her siblings, Jehna Martinez (Miguel Moreno), Monique Martinez, Gregory Velarde Jr., Alexander Velarde, Samantha Velarde (Anthony Cardena); her grandchild, Ernesto Gonzales IV; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She loved her family and friends dearly and wholeheartedly.

A Rosary will be held on Monday, February 17, 2025, at DeVargas Funeral Home in Española, New Mexico, at 5:00 PM. Burial will take place at another time.
