Valerie Giese

Valerie Giese, age 73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Santa Fe New Mexico. She was born August 12th, 1951, in Winston-Salem North Carolina. 

She lived in various cities throughout her life and eventually settled in Chimayo, New Mexico, where she remained for the last decade. Valerie truly lived a wild and free life, she participated in peaceful protests in the 70s, loved to plant gardens, and enjoyed painting. 

Valerie is preceded in death by her son, Oron (Rocky) Giese. 

Valerie is survived by her daughter, Annette Archuleta; granddaughter Janea Serna; grandson James Archuleta; great-grandchildren Jonah Archuleta and Elia Serna; siblings Vikki, Nancy, Anne, Mary and Peter Giese. 

Though we are saddened to see her go, she was never afraid of anything and she made sure all that loved her knew that.
