Loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Godmother left this world to be with our heavenly father on December 13th 2020. Born on October 29th 1980; Married to Nicholas M Gerstenberger on June 25th 2005. Together they raised a son and daughter, Kailynn and Adrian. Valerie, Graduate of Espanola Valley High class of 1999 "Once a Sundevil, always a Sundevil". Valerie's career consisted of working on Learning & Development at Wells Fargo for 18 years, Dispatcher for the Pojoaque Tribal P.D. in the years prior. She enjoyed traveling the country-sides with her family, enjoying many outdoor activities such as ATV Riding, Fishing, and Camping. Valerie was heavily involved with the Boy Scouts of America becoming both a Troop and Den Leader for boys and girls. Valerie's love for reading books was famous, her aspiring passion for Photography growing, and shopping for others endless. Valerie a devoted Catholic, always instilled the faith in her family by attending mass and praying for her loved ones. Valerie wore a crucifix at all times faithfully believing it keeping her family and herself safe.
Valerie's legacy will continue with her beloved Husband Nicholas of 21 years, Daughter Kailynn (14) and son Adrian (10), Father and Mother Robert & Sharon Medina of Chimayo NM, sister Jennifer Hindberg of Salt Lake Utah, Brother Robert and sister in-law Nadine Medina of Goodyear AZ, Sister Pamela Medina & spouse Lawrence Gutierrez of Santa Fe NM, Father and Mother in-Law Mike & Eva Gerstenberger of Concord N. Carolina, Sister in-law Jennifer Szilassy-Owens of Rockwell N. Carolina, 4 nieces Piper, Kenna, Natalie, Leaira and 1 God-Son Daniel Juan. Padrinos Elefio & Saraphine Montoya of Chimayo NM, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and special friends that miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by her Grandparents Floyd and Marianita Jaramillo of Chimayo NM, Juan Andres and Isabelle Medina of Penasco NM, Oscar Gerstenberger, Margaret Kristoff of Lee MA, Odon & Valerie Szillassy of Eger Hungary, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Public visitation will begin Monday December 21st at 5pm-8pm at the Heritage Funeral Chapel . Rosary at 6pm .
Funeral Service will be Tuesday December 22nd at 10am
Valerie will live on in the hearts of the lives she touched and will be laid to rest at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Glendale AZ at 11 Am
