Valentino “Val” R. Martinez, 49, a resident of Santo Nino passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 16, 2012. He loved to help anyone in need, neighbors and friends. He liked going for wood and loved spending time with his family. Val had a kind and loving heart, and will be missed by all that knew him. Val was preceded in death by his parents, Valentine and Carlota Martinez; maternal grandparents, Manuel and Lorencita Velarde; paternal grandparents, Manuel and Ascencion Martinez. He is survived by his sisters: Michelle Silva and husband Tommy of Santo Nino and Yvette Atencio and husband Richard of La Mesilla; half brother & sister: Randy Martinez of Oceanside, CA and Valerie Sanchez and husband Jerome of Alcalde; nieces: Johnna, Kristen and Tamara Quintana; best friend, Genaro Trujillo of Santo Nino; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & other loving relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and no public services will be held. The family of Valentino “Val” R.
