Valentina Age - 80 Alcalde Chacon

Valentina Chacon, 80, a resident of Alcalde passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. Valentina was a devout Catholic, loving wife, mother and mother-in-law. She was well loved by everyone. She loved baking and cooking, best menudo ever. Valentina was preceded in death by her parents, Alejandrino and Josefina Gallegos; sisters: Bernie Martinez, Rose Gallegos, Josephine Mascarañes; brother, Sam Gallegos; in-laws, Adelaido and Frutosa Chacon; sisters-in-law: Mary Lina Martinez, Reyes Rendon and Sara Gallegos. She is survived by her husband, Alfonso Chacon of Alcalde; daughter, Marylina Tanuz and husband Victor of Alcalde; nephew like a son, Richie Guillen and wife Lenora of Ohkay Owingeh; sister, Charlotte Martinez and husband Cipriano of Alcalde; brothers: Alex Gallegos of Alcalde, John Allen Gallegos and wife Florence of Alcalde; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sosten Mascarenas, Nora Gallegos, Candie Valdez and husband Joe of Riverside, Josie Guillen and companion Joe Leyba of Alcalde; many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 17, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with burial to follow at Alcalde Catholic Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers: Cipriano Martinez Jr., Lea Gallegos, Leonard Martinez, Richie Guillen, Michael Rendon, Raymond Valdez; honorary pallbearers: Julie Morales, Jennifer Mondragon, Liz Romero, Marie Atencio, Victor Tanuz, Debbie Borrego, Richard Guillen, Gina Bourque and Susan Medina.
