Valentin Valdez

Valentin Valdez, age 48, a resident of Nambe, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Mr. Valdez was preceded in death by his grandparents, Valentin and Eva Valdez and Genaro and Antonia Terrazas; uncles, Benny Valdez, Lovene Espinosa, Andy Sanchez and Lucas Duran. Valentin enjoyed country and Spanish music as well as hunting. He loved fishing with his primo. He loved horseback riding, spending time with his cousin Eric Salazar. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.  He is survived by his parents, Tony and Tessie Valdez of Nambe; companion, Carol Duran of Santa Fe; sister, Margret Sargent and spouse Chris of Cordova; nieces, Melissa Ortiz and spouse Andrew of Cordova, Mindy Gray and spouse Terrance of Cordova; great nieces, Alexis Ortiz, Mariah and Izabella Gray of Cordova; great nephew, Alejandro Ortiz of Cordova, as well as numerous other family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Nambe. Serving the family as pallbearers are Eric Salazar, Mark Rivera, Lonnie Espinoza, Vincent Romero, Patrick Valdez, and Ralph Martinez. Honorary pallbearer, Arsenio Trujillo.
