Trinnie E. Chacon Age 81 a lifelong resident of Chamita passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January, 4 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross Chacon; parents, Antonio and Deluvina Mascareñas; brothers: Tomas, Genaro and Pablo Mascareñas; sisters: Socorro Gallegos and Carlota Marquez; nieces and nephews, Debbie Casias, Christopher Martinez, Leroy Mascareñas, Teresa Jaramillo and James Vialpando. Trinnie is survived by her children: Tony Valdez of Chamita, Betty Valdez of Albuquerque, Annie Maes and husband Alfred of Española, Mary Lou Trujillo of Denver; grandson that she raised, Adrian Chacon of Chamita; grandchildren: Eugene Abeyta, Shawn P. Abeyta and Diane Abeyta all of Albuquerque; great-granddaughter, QueRencia Garcia of El Guique; close niece that helped care for her, Bernadette Casias of Chamita; nephews/nieces: Angie and husband Emilio Vigil of Albuquerque, Charlotte and husband Andy Casias of Chamita, Levi and wife Lora Gallegos of Chamita, Dora and husband Willie Segura of Chamita, Louisa and husband Anthony Padilla of Chamita, Vina Gallegos of Chamita, Rose Mascareñas of Denver; step-children: Antonia, Teresa, Fabie and Eileen all of Española; numerous close relatives & friends. Public visitation will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Burial to follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Shawn Abeyta, Chris Lopez, Alfred Trujillo, Carlitos Trujillo, Joe Roybal and Mark Mascareñas. Honorary pallbearers named are, Ramona Chavez, Gloria Gonzales, Andres Padilla, Anthony Padilla, Tammy Griffin and all her friends from the Senior Program and all her nieces and nephews. The family of Trinnie Chacon has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
