Trenton Age - 51 - Velarde Smith

TRENTON SMITH, 51, a resident of Velarde, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Romero Smith; grandmother, Evelyn Faye Prather and aunt, Aurelia McKinney. Trenton was co-owner of Smith Curtis Mathes for many years where he made many friends and was very well liked and well known throughout the community. He was actively involved with the Rinconada Ditch Community in Alcalde and was a fun loving person who enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith; daughters, Terri Smith and family, Loretta Smith and family, Patricia Armijo and family; father, Raymon Smith; sisters, Ruth and Melanie Smith; brothers, Mark, Walter and Peter Smith; step-sons, Brendan and Dusten Tuning; 13 grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a memorial service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at the private Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Mark, Walter, Peter and Steven Smith, Brendan and Dusten Tuning. The family of Trenton Smith has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
