Tomas "Tommy" Maestas

Tomas “Tommy” Maestas, 84, a resident of Chili, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018. Tomas was born and raised in Chamita. He was a member of local union 1564 for 36 years and an Hermano of La Cofadia de la Santisima Trinidad. Tomas is survived by his wife, Bertha Maestas; children, Richard Maestas (Melissa), Christine and Carol Maestas; grandchildren, Ricky Maestas (Leticia), Tomas D. Maestas and Jenae Valdez (Josh); great-granddaughter, Alexa Valdez; brother, Tony Maestas (Beatrice), sister-in-law, Sally Maestas and brother-in-law, Hezzie Gibson (Ruth). We would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Del Corazon Hospice: Pam Archer, Rev. Hampton, Mary Wyatt, Don Boaz and Dr. Kathleen Maley. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Santa Fe. The family of Tomas “Tommy” Maestas has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
