Tomas Montoya Sr.

Tomas N.D. Montoya, Sr. of La Puebla passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015, surrounded by family in Galveston, Texas. Private services were held in Houston, Texas, to honor his wishes.  Tomas N. D. Montoya, Sr., was born on May 12, 1946, to Casimiro and Ramoncita Montoya. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Yolanda Montoya; daughter, Teresina & Brett Berg; sons, Tomas, Jr. & Irma Montoya, Raymond & Anya Montoya, and Richard & Mandie Montoya, 6-grandchildren, Sulema & Citlali Montoya, Gabrielle & Isabelle Berg, Lazlo & Luna Montoya; siblings, Ramona & Ted Pena, Matias & Evelyn Montoya, Jennie & Ron Schafer, Rosemary & Richard Maez, Bernie Diaz, Frankie & Eva Montoya, as well as family & friends too numerous to mention.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Eugenio & Flora Montoya, Rita & Israel Maestas, Cordy & Arlo Martinez, Frances Lovato, Casey Montoya, Steve Montoya, and infant sister Bernie. His family were his lifelong friends, and his friends became the family of his heart.
