TOMAS De AQUINO ARCHULETA, 79, a lifelong resident of Chamita, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Atanasio and Emilia Archuleta; sons, Thomas Michael, Jose Leandro and Atanasio David and infant baby; brothers, Julian, Emilio, Atanasio and Juan Archuleta; sisters, Luge and Polly and many other relatives. Mr. Archuleta is survived by his wife of 58 years, Manuelita T. Archuleta of Chamita; daughters, Brenda Martinez and husband Eliseo of Rio Rancho and Angelica Archuleta of Chamita; daughter-in-law that was considered like a daughter, Corrine Trujillo of Alcalde; grandchildren, Carlos Archuleta, Eliseo Martinez, Nicole and Michelle Herrera, Lucas and Emilio Archuleta; great-grandchildren, Acelynn, Juliana, Xavior, Jose and Faith; sisters, Margarita Salazar of Albuquerque and Juanita Casados of El Guique; in-laws dear to him, Seferino and Bertha Borrego, Lucas and Olivia Trujillo and Nancy Trujillo; 13 God-children and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. with a second rosary and vigil to follow immediately after at 9:30 p.m. at the Morada de Chamita. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers, Gilbert Borrego, Alex Salazar, Harold Mascareñas, Ralph Sanchez, Seferino Borrego and Adonis Archuleta. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, God-children and the Hermanos from numerous Moradas.
