Tito Horacio Montoya, a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully at his home with his family, December 18th, 2016. Born in Truchas New Mexico, he is preceded in death by his parents, Herculano and Senaida Montoya of Truchas NM; Filiberto Montoya; sisters Celina Martinez, Adelita Martinez of Chimayo, NM; and, brother-in-law Chet Smith of El Rancho, NM. Tito is survived by his wife of 55 years Modesta Montoya of Las Vegas, NV; children: Gilbert and Wife Christy of Grants NM, Lisa Forsberg of Las Vegas NV, Daniel and wife Estela of Las Vegas, NV, James and wife Camille of Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren: Anthony and Kristy, Brittany and Justin, Eugene, Ricky, Maegan, Gilbert, Jr., Candice, Alicia, Marissa and Joe, Christina and Danny. He is also survived by two sisters: Margaret Smith of El Rancho, NM and Minnie Rael and husband Gilbert Rael of Truchas, NM; sister-in-law Emilia Montoya of La Mesilla, NM; and two brothers-in-laws Genaro Martinez and Ernesto Martinez of Chimayo NM. Tito had eleven grand-children and fifteen great-grandchildren. Tito served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was stationed in various locations, San Antonio, Maine, Roswell, and in Greenland. He worked in the uranium mines in Grants, NM., at Kerr McGee. He worked at the Nevada test site, Yucca Mountain, and retired. Tito's hobbies included spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, swimming, playing cards, bike riding, dancing, watching sporting events, especially watching those played by his children and grandchildren, and loved New Mexico Music. Services for Tito H. Montoya are January 9th, 2016 in Las Vegas, NV., at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. The Eulogy will be from 11am to 12pm., and Mass at 12pm to 1:00 pm., Flowers can be sent to 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive Las Vegas, NV., 89128
