Timmy Martin (TIMBUC)- age 50 - Nambe Herrera

TIMMY MARTIN HERRERA (TIMBUC), 50, a resident of Nambe, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 following a brief illness. Timmy was born August 27, 1963 to Eloy and Guadalupita Herrera. Though Timmy only lived 50 years he enjoyed them to the fullest. As a very young boy he drove his dad’s dump truck hauling sand and working the backhoe and other heavy equipment. He worked with his brother, Jose Maria’s Sand and Gravel Company and other major corporations operating heavy equipment. He had a passion for cars, including working with them mechanically as well as cruising in them. He spent time enjoying life including camping and attending rock concerts and spending time with his many friends. Timmy befriended people from all walks of life and ages because he knew that people had a contribution to the world and his happiness. He affectionately referred to all these friends as “brother” and he treated them all as if they were. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloy and Guadalupita Herrera; brothers, Teodolo and Jose Maria Herrera; nephew, Tommy Herrera; maternal grandparents, Jose Maria and Julianita Ortiz; paternal grandparents, David and Manuelita Herrera; several uncles and aunts from the paternal side and very special cousin, Stephanie Herrera. Mr. Herrera is survived by his loving brothers and sisters. Eloy and wife Chavela, Jesus, Sammy, Tommy and Donald Herrera, Minnie Vigil and husband Bobby, Abby Salazar and husband Phil, Shirley Hernandez and husband Charles, Julie Roberts and husband Preston and Lydia Archuleta who was the most important person in Tim’s life and he considered her his second mother; nephew, Mark Romero who he considered a brother and Isaac Sandoval that he treated like his own son; uncles, David Herrera and wife Josephine and Lorenzo Herrera and wife Emma and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Nambe. The family of Timmy Martin Herrera (Timbuc) has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
