THERESA SALINAS-GARCIA, 56, a resident of Espanola, passed away of a lengthy illness on Monday, June 29, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Micky” Garcia; father of her two younger children, Timothy “Chango” Martinez; parents, Antonio and Josephina Salinas; brother, Albino “Alvin” Salinas, Niece Monica Salinas; father-in-law, Ernest Garcia. Theresa loved her children unconditionally. Her family was her world, her love for the Denver Broncos was impeccable. Her heart was huge for everyone especially those who needed help and love. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Robert Garcia, Michael Garcia, Christopher “Katerina” Garcia, Jacob Martinez and companion Geneva Martinez, Janae Martinez, raised as a daughter, Alyssa Ulibarri; her loving companion, Steve Gabaldon; grandchildren, Zaydrian Cordova, unborn grandson, Jacoby Martinez; brothers, and sisters, Antonio Salina and wife Tanya, Sandra Anderson and husband Henry and Aaron Salinas; sister-in-law, Carmella; beloved pets, Princess and Magic; aunts, Mary Apodaca, Theresa Pena, Pauline Martinez; uncle Robert Salinas; Nephews and nieces, Amanda and husband Angelo, Raymond and Albino Salinas, James and Valerie Montano, Aaron “the Bubs” Salinas, Hannah and Claudia Rosacker, Daniella, AJ and Andres Salinas, great-nephews and nieces, Mikayla and John Gurule, Isabella and Esperanza Sandoval; mother-in-law, Porfiria Garcia, very close cousins, Alicia and Britney Apodaca, plus many other loving relatives, family and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada in Santa Cruz, with a burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Serving the family as pallbearers are James Montano, Alvin Salinas, Aaron Salinas, Steve Gabaldon, Antonio “Tony” Salinas and Henry Anderson.
