Tessie Romero

Tessie B. Romero, 82, a resident of Española, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 following a lengthy illness. Tessie never missed an opportunity to spend time with family and friends. She lived life to the absolute fullest, “Come On, It’ll Be Fun”.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Eloy Romero and granddaughter, Ashley Romero. Mrs. Romero is survived by her children, Patricia Flores, Steve Romero (Sylvia), Jeff Romero (Renee) and Tim Romero (Melanie); 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; loving sisters, Margie (John), Carmen (Walter), Gloria, Ila (Ivan); brother, Juan Bustos and many nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. The family of Tessie B. Romero has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
