Teofila Serrano, 94, a resident of Cañones, went home to be with our Lord and reunited with her Husband, Parents, and Children on August 6, 2012. Teofila was preceded in death by her husband, Solomon; parents, Ramon and Senaida Jaramillo; sister, Viviana; son, Dillon; daughters, Viola and Senaida; grandson, Adam; and son-in-law Jesus.\r\nTeofila is survived by 7 children: Gilbert; Clorinda; Dora and husband Leonard; Paul and wife Patsy; Albert and wife Thelma; Steven and fiancé Linda; Antonio and wife Cathy. She is also survived by 26 Grandchildren; 54 Great-Grandchildren; 10 Great-Great Grandchildren; 8 nieces and nephews; brother-in-Law Abran and wife Georgia; sister-in-law’s: Lydia and Anita; and numerous other loving relatives & friends.\r\nThe Family would like to recognize and thank the Coyote Senior Center, Addus Home Health Care providers, and Ambercare Hospice for all of their support.\r\nPublic visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. the San Miguel Catholic Church in Cañones. Burial will follow at the Cañones Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers will be Jesse Monroy, Andrew Serrano, Walter Cordova, Ben Velasquez, Frankie Serrano, Victor Serrano, and Edwin Serrano. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Delcie and Mark Anderson, and all of her remaining grandchildren.\r\n \r\nIn Lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Coyote Senior Center.\r\nThe family of Teofila Serrano has entrusted the care of their beloved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
