TEODORA MARTINEZ, 99, born February 7, 1917 in Coyote, and a lifetime resident of Española, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 75 years, Rev. Emilio Martinez; daughters, Clora and Rebecca; parents, Pablo and Getrudes Trujillo; brothers, Ernesto, Felipe, Pablo and Rosenaldo, sister, Adelaida Jacquez; in-laws, Rev Tomas and Lugardita Martinez. Teodora is survived by her children, Emilio Joe ( Belle), Isaias (Jean), Tomas (Miei), Sofie Gurule (Carlos), Trudy Duran, Norma Herrera (Art), Corinne Russo (Joey), Jake (Naidene), and Rick (JoAnne), 21 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rosa Garcia, Clara Martinez and Gertrudes Trujillo; sisters-in-law, Gloria Garcia, Ursula Trujillo, Isabel Sanchez and Amalia Roybal; Godchildren, Ben Roybal, Sam Chavez and Briana Vigil as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Mom enjoyed crocheting, quilting and many other crafts. Most of all she enjoyed sharing them with her friends and many visitors. She considered Theresa Martinez, Nora and Mariah Mascarenas, Lorraine Aragon, Gloria and Nora Roybal and RoseAnn Maestas as part of her extended family. She was lovingly cared for by her family which included granddaughter, Jennifer Duran, Emma Sanchez, Diane Garcia and Dulcinea Trujillo, whom she considered part of her family as well. She loved sharing her faith in God with anyone she met and loved to tell stories of when they pastored and assisted in different Assembly of God churches, including Douglas, AZ, Ogden, UT, Albuquerque, Bernalillo, El Rancho, Hernandez and Española. Mom was the heart of our family and she enjoyed having us all together. She will be greatly missed. Public visitation will begin on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church in Ranchitos, with a Devotional Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church, Pastors Richard Espinosa, Danny Espinosa and Frank Sandoval officiating. Burial will follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Joey Gurule, Michael, Eli and Chris Martinez, Rich and Ron Herrera, and Brandon Duran.
