Tammy Coriz

TAMMY A. CORIZ , 53, a resident of Medanales, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 26, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Phyllis Coriz; brothers, Orlando Coriz, Albert, Jr., and Leonard Coriz; and grandparents, Beatrice and Kenneth Arnold, Santiago and Ann Marie Coriz. Tammy was born in San Francisco, California. She graduated from Bernalillo High School and lived in Santo Domingo and later moved to Medanales in 1995. She worked at the Camel Rock Casino as a cook for 15 years and then worked at Walmart for 8 years as a receiver. Ms. Coriz is survived by her sons, Ferrell Coriz of Albuquerque and Dominic Coriz of Medanales; granddaughters, Addison and Hayden of Albuquerque; siblings, Louise (Alonzo Martinez) of Medanales, Deanna Tenorio of Bernalillo, Anthony, Diane, Jacque, Emerson of Santo Domingo; raised by Albert and Mary J. Coriz; aunt, Terecita Aguilar; uncle, Remijo Coriz; step-mother, Daisy Coriz also many cousins, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Hernandez. Burial to follow at the San Jose Cemetery in Hernandez with the following serving as pallbearers, Leonard Coriz, Cameron Tenorio, Jared Tenorio, Cody and Crag Coriz and Joel Cockrum. The family of Tammy A. Coriz has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
