Syria - Age 69 - La Puebla - Rivas

Syria E. Rivas, 69, a resident of La Puebla passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas Rivas; parents, Nestor and Veronica Montoya; brother, Nestor Montoya. Syria was a “rebel.” She did things the way she wanted too. She had a big heart and was a hard worker. Syria’s happiest moments were sitting under a tree and reading her books, and she enjoyed watching TV especially her, Vampire movies. Syria is survived by her children: David H. Montoya of Española, NM, Priscilla Romero and husband David of Mountainair, NM, Diana De La Cruz and husband Armando of Hereford, TX, Tommy F. Rivas of Denver, CO, Irma Lente and husband Frank of Albuquerque, NM and Andrew T. Rivas of Española, NM; brothers/sisters: Darlene Montoya and Danny of Española, Sarah Montoya and David of Española, Neffie Montoya and Shirley of Española, Maryann Martinez and Jose of Casa Grande, AZ, Rebbeca Castro of El Rancho; grandchildren: Roy, Jessica, Christopher, Amanda, Elizabeth, Alexander, Anthony, Savina, Briana, Ariel and Jerrod; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving relatives & friends.
