Susan "Susie" - age 37 - Española Boechat

Susan “Susie” Boechat, 37, a resident of Española, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Santa Fe. Susan was preceded in death by her father, Auguste in 1992 and her mother Sharon in 2004. She was born on June 24, 1977 to Auguste Boechat and Sharon Heuter Boechat in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Susan attended schools in Buena, New Jersey. She settled in New Mexico approximately 20 years ago and worked in the gaming industry for many years in Northern New Mexico and in Mississippi. Susan was a loving mother, daughter, and friend. Susan is survived by her children, Joaquin Maestas, and Lily Valencia; her former husband and father of her son, Joaquin Maestas; father of her daughter, Eric Valencia; her close friend, Victoria Grant, and many other friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. At Susan’s request no services will be held. Cremation has taken place. Burial of her cremains will be held at a later date at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved mother. The family of Susan “Susie” Boechat has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.\r\n
