Steven G. Age-38 Albuquerque/Santa Cruz Romero

STEVEN G. ROMERO, 38, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Santa Cruz, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ramon and Isabelita Romero; uncles, Raymond Romero and Mike Vigil. Steven loved spending time with his children, wife and family and loved them dearly. He was a hard worker and was dedicated to being an electrician. He was very passionate about Jiu-Jitsu. Mr. Romero is survived by his wife, Leslie Romero; son, Carlos Romero; daughter, Megan Romero all of Albuquerque; mother, Melva Romero of Santa Cruz; cousin who was raised like a brother, Anthony Naranjo of Santa Cruz; God-father and uncle, Danny Romero and wife Debbie of Santa Cruz; aunts: Jessie Vigil, Sylvia Romero and companion Roman Aragon, Ruby Naranjo all of Santa Cruz and Josie Maestas and husband Abedon of Arroyo Seco; in-laws, Benny and wife Mildred Montoya of Lyden; brothers-in-law, Benny and wife Gina of Arroyo Seco, Robert Montoya of Lyden, and Frank Montoya and wife Maribel of Virginia and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Anthony Naranjo, Michael Vigil, Chris Vigil, Robbie Olivas, Tom Montoya and Sammy Cordova.
