Steven - Age 26 - Chamita Duran

\r\nSteven M. Durán, Age 26, a resident of Chamita, was taken from us on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Venceslado and Manuelita Sanchez; paternal grandfather, Manuel Duran; maternal great-grandparents: Enrique and Epifania Gallegos; paternal great-grandparents: Vicente and Romanita Roybal, Benito and Juanita Duran. Steven enjoyed working with his dad. He loved the UNM Lobos, Española Valley Sundevils and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed playing golf with his father. Steven was mama’s boy and he knew it. Steven is survived by his parents Ray and MaryAnn Duran of Chamita; 1 sister, Monica Duran of Rio Rancho; maternal grandparents: Lourdes and Raymond Gallegos of Chamita; paternal grandmother, Theresa Duran of Santa Cruz; uncles and aunts: Raymond Gallegos Jr. and wife Loren of Chamita, Jeanette Alexander and husband Scott of Chamita, Elizabeth Dominguez and husband John of Cuyamunge, Dorothy Rendon and husband Rudy of Velarde, Daniel Duran and wife Corine of Arizona, Sylvia Salazar and husband John of Velarde, and Geraldine Martinez and husband Jesse of Santa Cruz; Phil Rivera and companion Corrine Espinoza of Ranchitos; God-daughter, Jada Alexander of Chamita, two very special children in his life, Jasmine Alexander and Scotty Alexander and numerous cousins and other loving relatives and friends. Arrangements for cremation have been made. A rosary will be recited on Friday, March 5, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, burial will follow at the San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita.
