\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n STEPHANIE ANN PADILLA, 30, a resident of Chimayo, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Genaro Rodriguez; uncles, Tomas Rodriguez, Paul Martinez and Raymond Wheeler; great-grandparents, Albert and Rosita De Herrera; niece, Annalysia Padilla; paternal grandmother, Ignacita Aguirre; aunt, Barbara Dora Martinez. Stephanie was employed through Professional Health Care. Her children were her pride and joy and she loved them very much. She helped everyone in need and always had a smile on her face. She was a loving, caring and forgiving person who never carried a grudge. She loved God, her family and friends and will be dearly missed. Stephanie is survived by her mother, MaryLou Padilla and companion, Johnny Garcia, who she loved like a father of Chimayo; biological father, Chris Martinez and companion LaVerne Martinez of Tierra Amarilla; father who raised her, Harold Padilla of Chimayo; God-mother, Linda and Paul Chavez of Española; children, Jerod Walker and Naveah Trujillo of the family home; brothers and sisters, Harold Padilla Jr. and companion Jenna Sanchez of Chimayo, Joseph Padilla and companion Tamara Martinez of Chimayo, Chris Martinez and companion Vanessa of El Llano, Christino Martinez of Albuquerque, Suzzette Garcia and husband Juan of El Duende, Machelle Padilla and companion Timothy Garcia of Chimayo, Deserae Martinez of Albuquerque, Heather Gallegos of Albuquerque; considered like brothers, Danny and Juanito Garcia both of Chimayo; maternal grandparents, Irene Rodriguez and husband Eddie Vigil of Chamita; paternal grandparents, Jake Martinez of Tierra Amarilla; grandparents, Tito Padilla and wife Fedelina of Chimayo; special aunts and uncles, Genaro Rodriguez and wife Sally of Chamita, Anthony Mendoza Rodriguez of Chamita, Julia Rodriguez and companion Joe Fresquez, Betty Rodriguez and companion Manuel Martinez of Chamita, Debra Martinez and husband Anthony of Española, Eddie Martinez and wife Ersie of Fairview, Robert Martinez of El Llano, Jerry Martinez of Tierra Amarilla, Gloria Martinez and companion Alan Yonker of Tierra Amarilla, Frieda Martinez and companion Benny Cordova of Tierra Amarilla, Fatima Berry and husband John of Albuquerque, Pauline Bustos of Hernandez, Roseanne Gallegos and husband Larry Gallegos of Santa Cruz, Dennis Padilla and wife Susan of Chimayo, Edmund Padilla of Chimayo, Angela Padilla of Las Cruces, Louanne Marquez and husband Ray of Las Cruces; in-laws, Susie and Manuel Abeldano; father of her daughter, Anthony Trujillo; brothers-in-law, Darrell Miera and wife Melinda and their daughter, Christi, Benjie Martinez and wife Lori and their daughter, Marlene; special friend, Elaine Baca and Lori Vigil both of Chimayo; very special friend that was loved like her grandmother, Charlotte Gallegos of Santo Niño and numerous special cousins, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving as pallbearers, her brothers, Harold Padilla Jr., Joseph Padilla, Chris Martinez, Christino Martinez along with Timothy Garcia, Danny Garcia, Juan Martinez and Nathan Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Arthur Mendoza, Elvie Mendoza, Cloudy Martinez, Michael and Ryan Rodriguez and all of her nieces and nephews. The Padilla family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. \r\n
