Sotero Naranjo

SOTERO J. NARANJO, 87, a resident of Española, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, May 25, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Eliza Naranjo; brothers, Ramon, Manuel, Reyes and Pete Naranjo; sisters, Danielita Quintana and Feliciana Gonzales; mother-in-law, Antonia Sandoval-Salazar; father-in-law, Maguin Sandoval and brother-in-law, Michael A. Sandoval. Mr. Naranjo is survived by his wife of 64 years, Minnie S. Naranjo; children, JoAnn Gallegos, Geneva Sena (John), Tonnie Chavez and Frank M. Naranjo; grandchildren, Lavern Graves (Steve), Tammy Burke (Jeff), Henry Gallegos III (companion Felicia) and Melissa Sena; 2 great-grandchildren, Alberto Graves and Henry Gallegos IV, Renee Sandoval whom he recognized as a daughter and host of other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated immediately at 10:00 a.m. Burial to take place on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers, Eliseo Quintana, Donald Naranjo, Dennis Sandoval, Jr., Randy Sandoval, Stacy Gerk and his grandson, Henry Gallegos III. Honorary pallbearers named, Jose Mel Naranjo, David Sandoval, Dennis Sandoval, Sr., Lawrence Borrego, Andres Gallegos and all of his grandchildren. The family of Sotero J.
