Sophia - Age 89 - El Rito - Archuleta

SOPHIA ARCHULETA, 89, a resident of El Rito, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, following a long beautiful life, with her family by her bedside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Cecilio Archuleta; parents, Juan Antonio and Camila Ocaña; sisters, Ascencion Valdez, Elizida Martinez and Ortancia Jaramillo; brother, Cosmes Ocaña; son-in-law, Jose Canuto Martinez; grandson, Kenny Martinez; granddaughters, Teresita Archuleta and Tracy Martinez; brothers and sister in law, Bernie and Pedro Archuleta and Cleo Martinez. Mrs. Archuleta is survived by her children, Lovie Martinez, Alice Gurule and husband Nerio, Randy Archuleta and wife Bebe and Sam Archuleta and wife Elsie all of El Rito; grandchildren, Jeanette Trujillo and companion Robert, Cecilia Romero, Monica Maestas and husband Rudy, Lupe Leal and husband Tony, Alex Valdez and husband Chris, Angelina Sanchez and husband Matt, Nerio Gurule and wife Brenda, Sheila Gurule and companion Kardy, Tracy Vigil and husband Mario, Anita Archuleta and companion Paul, Jerome Archuleta and companion Tracy, Samantha Archuleta and companion Daniel, Susanah Archuleta and companion Adrian, Kristen Archuleta and fiancé Jarred; sisters, Soraida Herrera and companion Seferino and Frances Archuleta and husband Ted; sisters-in-law, MaryAnn Ocaña, Deluvina Archuleta; brother-in-law, Fred Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. with a second rosary to be recited on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Burial to follow at the El Rito Community Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Nerio Gurule, Jr., Jerome Archuleta, Fabian Maestas, Lawrence Trujillo, Matthew Sanchez and Justin Romero. Honorary pallbearers named are, Tomas Romero, Lorenzo Archuleta, Nathan Valdez, Lance Griego, Derek Sanchez and Daniel Tapia.
