Sharon M. Martinez 1963 – 2011 – Age 47 a resident of Española went to be with our Lord on Monday, September 26, 2011. Today is a day that our family will never forget, the day we lost our beloved mom, daughter, sister, aunt and a beloved angel. She will always be remembered in our hearts for being the most loving, kind, giving, and thoughtful, caring beautiful person. Sharon had a place in her heart for everyone; she took care of everyone and never put herself before anyone. We definitely will all remember her famous cooking. May she now finally Rest in Peace in our Lords arms until we see her again. Sharon you will be dearly missed. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Lilly M. Romero. She is survived by her two loving children: John Jr. Tafoya of Los Lunas and Tiffany Lillie Graham of Española; her 4 grandchildren: Nicholas Diaz, Kianna Tafoya, Adrian Tafoya and Leah Tafoya all of Los Lunas; her father, Gavino Martinez and Teresa Martinez of Española; her sisiters: Gail F. Martinez, Dynette Martinez and companion Gerald Armijo, Cassandra Martinez and husband Matthew Martinez of Española; her brother, Alex Martinez and companion Michelle Sanchez; 3 step-sisters: Michelle Martinez, Melissa Gonzales and Miranda Martinez; brother, Tim Harper; a very special cousin, Debra Borrego who was like a sister; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and friends. A very special thanks to her sister “Dee Dee” who cared for Sharon the last four years of her life. Dee Dee you did a wonderful job and we thank the Lord that Sharon had a very special sister like you. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at the Canjilon Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Jeremy Lopez, Gavin Vargas, Ray Tafoya, Vernon Romero, Matthew and Melvin Martinez and Gerald Armijo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Adrian Tafoya, Nicholas Diaz, Jerome Gonzales and Andres Martinez-Valdez. The family of Sharon M.
